How We Help

A loss that lasts a lifetime.

Mother loss can have a profound impact resulting in deep emotional scars and mental health challenges.

"It's been eight years since my mum died and I still get consumed by waves of intense grief. I'm not only grieving the loss of everything that I had, but I'm also grieving all the things she'll never be part of like meeting, cuddling, laughing with, and watching her granddaughter grow up."

Funds raised during your Motherless Daughters Australia Walk and Talk will help connect and inform women and girls whose mothers have died, by supporting them through life’s journey as they navigate the everyday, including life’s milestones, without their mum.

Join the Walk and Talk

Approximately 1,200,000 women have experienced mother loss before the age of 44.

Grief can be immensely isolating. But being part of the Motherless Daughters Australia community can remind women and girls of all ages that they are not alone.

The following services will be funded with money raised from the MDA Walk and Talk:

  • Awareness and support programs
  • Commemorative initiatives
  • Research and thought leadership
  • Events to connect motherless daughters
  • Educational resources
  • Private online community
